Amendment to PHP image gallery script

I use a PHP image gallery script on my personal website. It's freeware and works well. It displays thumbnails of JPEG images stored in the same folder as the script. The thumbnails can be clicked on to open a larger image or images can be viewed as a slideshow.

Above each image, the filename is shown. However, if the script finds corresponding text in a WML file that can be placed in the? same folder (e.g. a title) this gets displayed instead. The WML file can also designate a hyperlink to? each image.

All my image filenames are in the format of a 12 digit epochtime followed by? a hyphen? and? then a? suffix. This is because scripts elsewhere on my site displaying the images are headed up 'uploaded at HH:MM:DD:MM:YYYY' and the reading and writing of the filename enables the script to identify when? each file was posted.

I would like the file to be amended in the following ways:

1) Images are read from a folder entitled 'images' and the heading appearing above each is the text? 'uploaded at HH:MM:DD:MM:YYYY' (just like my other script I refer to). The text will NO LONGER come from any XML file and there is no need for any of the WML hyperlink functionality the current script offers.

2) Underneath each image (where currently there is nothing) will be text read from a folder entitled 'legends'. I already have a script that can upload images to the 'images' folder and corresponding text to the 'legends' folder. Images and corresponding text are matched up because filenames for each are the same (except for different file extentions because one is an image and the other is a simple text file).

3) When the image on display is moused over, the ALT text currently displayed is? the filename or, if present, ? the text found in the WML file I mentioned. Instead, the time and date of upload would be displayed (as read from the epochtime within the filename).

4) Currently, when the URL for the PHP script is followed by ?Lister, the browser is redirected to a third-party webpage that offers a WML file creation utility to enable images to be titled. This would no longer be required as such data would come from the 'legends' folder instead so this? variable and any lines of code connected with such redirection? should be removed.

## Deliverables

My PHP script is hosted on a shared server which I am unable to configure in any way. The script uses an older version of GD installed on my webhost's server.

I can create a temporary? FTP account for the coder if required.

The PHP script can be seen in action at? <[url removed, login to view]>

I have attached a copy of the script.

A few further refinements I would appreciate:

When viewing the slideshow or images after clicking on thumbnails, 'Browse', 'Play' and other buttons currently appear above the image. I'd like them to appear stacked vertically (with a small gap between each) down the right-hand side of the image. Buttons and links in 'Browse Mode' can stay where they are at the top.

and

I'd like the 'actual size' button to be replaced with a button that opens the image being displayed in a separate, blank frame at full size. If this is very difficult, I'd like the 'actual size' button instead completely removed.
