Please help me write a Macro that I can use in Excel/VBA that will Import an Excel worksheet from one file into another file's target worksheet.
The Macro will:
1) Be invoked by a control button
2) Produce a window that will prompt the user for the location of the source file. (Standard file navigation)
3) Add TWO hard-coded alpha fields to the end of EACH row
4) Import the file into the target worksheet
EX. Working from my target XLS file, I see a 'main menu' with a button that states 'Import Data'. When I click this button I get the standard file navigation window. I navigate my way to the source file and accept it. Control is returned to a window with TWO drop down boxes. The first box contains the values '12004', '22004', '32004' & '42004. I select one. The second drop down box contains two values -- 'GRADE' or 'AUDIT'. I select one. These values are added as columns at the end of the input file. The original input file will have FOUR columns and after the import process will have SIX. After the import, control is returned to the 'main menu'
## Deliverables
1) XLS worksheet with at least one control button on the active worksheet that does the import/modification as described above.
Feel free to use dummy data, etc..., as I will edit the Macro accordingly.
Thank you
