This client has over 2,500 products that he sells, it is kind of like Wall-Mart online. He currently has a .PHP site for ecommerce that he is unhappy with. So here is the functionality that are requirements I need someone to develop for me.

Customer Account Sign Up:

When a customer signs up their information is stored and accessed through admin panel.

Once a customer places an order their order history needs to be stored for a rolling 12 months.

The customer needs to be able to recall all order history once logged in as themselves.

Recipe Book Feature:

Customers can submit their favorite recipe for review; then the admin either approves or disapproves the recipe and posts it live. Shoppers can then select the recipe (add to cart) and all of the products that make up that specific recipe will be added to their cart. The customer will then have the option to add extra of one ingredients or remove a disliked ingredient from their cart for this recipe.

Special Diets Feature:

This feature will allow the administrators to place specific items into a group and lets for the sake of this example call them (South Beach Diet); so when a customer is directed to do the South Beach Diet they can just click on the Special Diet Tab and then select South Beach Diet, or Reduced Carb diet. This will then take them to the recommended products for that specific diet from the database of products. The admin will assign specific products to specific diets when entering them into the system.

Inventory Tracking:

Just as it is in Cube Cart, Zen Cart and other ecommerce DB solutions there is an admin feature that allows a client to track their on hand inventory and alerts them when a specific item is low. This will be used as an active inventory management system.

Sale Offering:

Client needs the ability to program sale price levels A, B & C. For a total of three price ranges for each product; example: Mac n Cheese {(A)reg. price = $1.79 (B)Sale Price = $1.29 (C) Clearance = $.99}

Admin needs to be able to set sale prices globally, by group and by item.

Retail/Wholesale

Client wants a wholesale side to the same site where commercial clients can log in and shop for large qty of wholesale case goods. So products will show up as case goods not individual items. i.e. 2 units of butter will be equal to 100 packs (50 packs per case) and so on.

The pricing on the wholesale side is to have three levels of discount to be applied to THE CUSTOMER Vs. being applied to the products. This way the admin can attach a specific discount level to each wholesale customer that will cover the product ordered with the correct discount assignment.

Example:

Client: Gardunios

Discount Level: A = Highest Discount

Product added to cart: Spaghetti {price level A} Because it is added to Gardunios cart and they are a pricing level A customer.

When the admin enters product case goods into the DB they will assign three discount level prices, one price for level A, one for level B and one for level C. This way when a client is assigned a specific letter the correct discount will be applied to the product that is added to their order. I hope this makes sense. Ha ha If not just call me and I explain.

Scheduler:

Because this company also delivers all goods locally they will need to integrate the drivers schedule. The client needs the ability for this system to offer the customer upon checkout a calendar. The customer can then select a day, then a specific time for the delivery. The calendar will then remove that slot from the available times open for delivery.

On the back end this scheduler needs to analyze the lets say (six) drivers and assign a delivery time according to the zip code and available drivers. If the system is designed correctly it will maximize the efficiency of the route delivery drivers, and it will give the customers an easy to navigate delivery time selection tool upon the checkout.

That is all I have so far and so I hope this is enough to get an idea. This client will also require some training and touch ups and testing during the development.

Of course I will need a demo of the script set up and to be tested for functionality before it is completed.

This project will require an easy and intuitive admin interface.

NOTE:
This online store will be bound by our location meaning; we work as a delivery service. This is why we want the scheduler to work via zip code and time and day. We also want the site to be easily upgraded to add new states and cities with new zip code delivery areas. Please make sure that if you are hired to do this that you build with flexibility and future expansion in mind. Also, if you are chosen to do this project we will be opening this up for franchise in the future and will need your services on an ongoing basis. This could end up being a very large number of sites for you. As many as you can handle that is…

This contract must include minimum of 12 months of support and training. We are using Liquid Web as our host and the system should be designed to work on their servers. The cpanel and login will be provided once bid is awarded in order for the test prototype to be accessable to the client. Graphics will be provided and must be integrated into the site.

Thank You for your consideration.

Time frame is to have a working set up to start entering products and to start testing by late Dec. and project up and running by the middle of Jan. so a total time frame of approx 45 days.

Deadline extended to mid Feb. so 60 days!
