Greetings,
We're developing an application which will allow our engineers to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with networked devices - mainly consumer/soho level routers and networked printers - on our clients networks. A large portion of configuration for such devices is done via web pages, but since the networks are generally secured these web sites are inaccessible to us.
We've already developed the user interface and at the moment are simply looking for the web component. The ideal situation would be:
o A program which can be run independently with a single parameter - that being the host name or IP address of the device to be scanned.
o The program would then scan the embedded web server retrieving the web pages and graphics. We'll also need it to process scripts such as JSP and retrieve the results.
o The collected information has to maintain the same naming structure as found on the original device, so file names and directories must match those found on the device being scanned.
o The collected files should be stored in a single archive file using a common format (ZIP or RAR for example) named after the host name or IP address of the device being scanned.
For example, we would call the program with the IP address of a clients router:
**app [login to view URL]**
It would collect the web pages and graphics and store them as [login to view URL]
The program can be written in any common language (C++, Java, VB, etc), though we'll need both full source code and binary(s) as well as documentation to enable future maintenance and updates.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
