Deassembler a 16bit EXE (written in C for Win 3.1)

I am looking anyone that can help me to make my old program written in C for Win 3.1 (16 bits executable format) running properly The application is checking a dongle (security device) routine which have been lost. So, the alternatively is deassembler the exe and remove the routine or inject code into the exe. If you have experience in 16 bits executable format, I hope you can help me to solve this situation.
