Custom Wordpress Template coding

I have a professional game review show in the works at [login to view URL] As you can see, the site looks bad right now and there is no content. I had the look of a template completed for me which can be viewed as a jpg at the following link: [login to view URL] I need this template to be properly coded so it will work with Wordpress at vitosverdict.com. I do not know the workings of Wordpress and don't even know if what I request is possible. I have zero programming knowledge. Looking at the image and site linked above, the bar on the far right would be used for links, such as 'Pages', 'Categories', 'Blogroll' etc, which Wordpress can do for me automatically. The big box in the middle would of course be used for blog posts and podcasts. The symbols under where it says "The Game Review Show" (PS3, Wii, the X, PSP, DS) all need to be clickable links that would take people to a list of articles given the related tags. I have the final PSD file, and also a folder with all the layers in jpg format. As I said, I don't even know if this template or what I ask for is compatible with Wordpress, which is why I need only those who have lots of experience with Wordpress and understand its limitations. I don't know if this needs to be said, but it needs to be compatible with all browsers (FireFox, Internet Explorer mainly) and would need to adjust to the visitor's resolution accordingly. The version the site is using is Wordpress MU 1.0. At least, that is what it tells me at the very bottom :P Thanks!
