have you looked in to paypal's shopping cart option? this might be a good solution for you, and would minimize the need to create a full-blown shopping cart for what you'd need here. the bid posted here would be to integrate a paypal shopping cart in to your existing site, and provide the ability to confirm payments via email to your customers, providing them w/ a link to download their purchased items.
