I am a photographer that specializes in advanced cosplay and neo/retro pinup. I'm seeking a 3D modeler to create a Star Wars themed shuttle landing platform scene environment and setting to be used in composite photography images. The resulting renders must be photo-realistic as they will be used with models shot in custom wardrobe in studio. Game-level textures and renders are not acceptable. The theme needed is a Sith style shuttle landed on a platform on Coresant. The character (shot in studio) will have disembarked and is walking towards the camera. I have attached concept images to base the work. The shuttle design should be based on the Old Republic looks. The background building should represent Coresant with options for the modern building look or the industrial dirty look as noted in the films. The female Sith model shown in the image attached is the actual model and wardrobe we are using. Renders and 3D models will need to be high quality, photo-realistic. Studio cameras used in this work are Canon 5DS 50-megapixel systems. Desire is to have the flexibility to change and alter lighting conditions and image render directions, etc. to blend the studio work and render work. If this work is successful, additional scenes and renders will be required for various Star Wars, sci-fi, and fantasy/steampunk settings. Hoping to build a relationship with a solid modeler/renderer for this work. Additional info upon request. This is probably the single coolest thing I've seen on Freelancer, so let me start by saying that this would be a frankly awesome project to work on. That said, I'm a VFX generalist, I got where I am because I watched Star Trek and thought "that look ssooo cool." Years ago. Since then, I haven't stopped thinking that sci-fi looks cool and I haven't stopped watching it. I've modeled starships, set reconstructions, and a whole plethora of small things in the past. Just take a look at my demo reel in my portfolio. There's a starfighter scene there that I had to make and render on a dying laptop, in four weeks of my free time, using the bare minimum to keep my render times down. Working on stills? I can pack in a lot of detail, better meshes, better materials, and better textures, to make things blend perfectly with your surroundings. Speaking of blending, I'm experienced in a program called Blender. It's a freeware 3D program, and it has a particular advantage for your work. It's cycles render engine works in real-time. You can load your shot into the program, and it'll let you adjust the lighting and show you the result as you work. As it is free, I could share the project file with you, and we could both adjust the lighting, or the camera, or anything else, with ease. I have more I could say. I could write you a 50,000 page essay on sci fi and what I'd do for your project, but I get only 1500 words. If my excitement, or my offer interests you, feel free to contact me.
