I have finished an arduino project that is connected to a landline phone. I'm currently trying to turn it into a standalone product that can run using the landline's power.
What I need:
1- A solution to power the arduino UNO microcontroller using the landline power.
2- The landline telephone must be usable alongside this arrangement.
3- I'm using a caller ID IC as a part of my arduino project, so I don't want to have a conflict between the two circuits and their use of the ring/tip electricity. Look up HT9032C datasheet to see how it works.
The following are the landline's current/voltage measurements where I am: 25mA/55V. Using this electricity directly results in having the landline busy. Based on my experiments, we need at least a 15k resistance between the wall wires (ring/tip) and the circuit so that the line is not busy. This results in giving us only 3mA/55V to work with.
