There exists a program with no source code that converts a binary input file to a text output file.
I can provide (as att)
- An example binary input file
- An example text output file
The job is to write a program in c# that will convert the the input file to the output file by examining the bytes in the binary file.
c:\> [login to view URL] [login to view URL] > [login to view URL]
Some notes on this:
.The binary file is not encrypted - there are lots of patterns in its bytes.
.It contains many 20 byte sequences starting with byte 001 and byte 002 that seem to relate to each line of the output.
.The output file contains timestamps that always have a modulo 5 number of seconds (0, 5, 10..55)
.The binary file and text files are generally of variable length.
The deliverable is the source to [login to view URL] that can convert [login to view URL] to file.text.
Please note that the decoding must be genuine - it can't just print the output required - it has to figure the output from the input.
