Django Coach: Teach Me to Build A Django App

I'm building an internal-use web app for our small business in Django. It manages the scheduling of real-world events, and keeps track of: - Detailed information about an event - Information about what kind/number of staff are required - What the booking status of those staff is - What the booking status of other related assets is I'm not looking for you to build it from scratch. Instead, I'm looking for a coach: an ongoing arrangement with someone who can... - Examine my source code, and tell me how it can be improved - Help me identify and squash bugs - Answer my programming questions when I'm stuck - Write parts of the app when I'm struggling with something or don't have enough time Time Commitment: - More time up front (6 hrs / week?) for understanding project, initial code review and recommendations, and then a bit less as we go forward. - Hoping to have the project completed (at least 1.0) within the next 6 weeks. May need occasional support beyond that point on bug fixing, feature enhancements, etc. About Me: - Hobbyist programmer with excellent understanding of core programming fundamentals (variable types, looping, functions...), and decent understanding of object-oriented fundamentals (objects, methods, scope, inheritance...) - Django and Python are fairly new to me, but I have a good grasp of Django models, views and templating. I'm trying to keep the code well covered by tests (no testing experience before Django). Diving deeper into forms right now. No deployment experience. - The app is currently quite far along on the model side, and has the front end fairly well designed up too. There are 2 key capabilities I'm looking for: (1) Coding Skills: - Extensive experience with building web apps in Django - Decent experience with front-end development. This project will need at least a bit of AJAX, and eventually might need sockets or Angular or something like that (to handle the multiple users who will edit the schedule simultaneously). - A programming style focused on clean, well-documented, well-tested code (2) Teaching Skills: - Experience supporting people and explaining programming concepts to them - Excellent communication skills - Experience in a collaborative programming environment To illustrate these capabilities, please share: (1) A code sample you're proud of (link to repo, or upload) (2) A link to your StackOverflow profile, blog, or other demonstration of your ability to help others and clearly explain programming concepts.
