Our Environment:
1. Linux Debian webserver - PHP - MYSQL
2. Linux Debian application server - PHP - MYSQL
3. Windows 2008 server - running local Windows applications
4. Windows 2008 small business server - serves as domain controller for windows clients
5. Windows clients
We want to make sure everything that matters is backed up. We also want to make sure we can
recover from disasters expediently without losing any data.
Currently we are using a backup script our sys admin wrote but it takes too many hardware
resources. Our server literally shuts down and nothing else can get done when backups are
being performed. That creates problems for staff and customers.
