In a previous day job at a software company, I had to "sell" various tools ideas to the designers from the programmers, getting them to understand the basics of functionality and beauty these new tools would bring to the product.
Writing your descriptions of furniture would be a bit like that, I suspect. I know I'm not rated and haven't yet had any feedback, that's not because I'm not good, it's because I haven't gotten a bid awarded to me yet!
To highlight each piece, I would write these descriptions abstract-style: in around 100 words, sell what is exciting, beautiful, or exceptionally great from a function point of view for every product.
You said this was a rush job, which is handy: I'm a grad student that doesn't always have much spare time, but I have a couple days of doldrums right now. This time would be perfect to make sure your project gets done quickly and correctly.
