Dear Project Poster My name is Marie-Luce I have been teaching English in the E-Learning industry since 2006. I also specialize in accent neutralizing especially the American accent. Please check my portfolio and resume. I have lived in the US (Florida State) as a child and have acquired the accent, but due to the nature of my job I also had to "tone down" a bit. I propose that we do a 15-20 minute interview (free) so I get to really evaluate your level and define your personal and business objectives. This will also give you a chance to see whether you like my teaching methods. My philosophy is that if something is not interesting you will not be willing to learn it; so therefore you will be wasting your time. We have to find out together what works for you. Please bear in mind that it is not a lesson but merely an evaluation so I would need to you to let yourself go and make as many mistakes as you can. What you also need to think about are what do you want to be able to do at the end of the 3months and 6 months. From then on I can propose a lesson plan or an overview of what will be done during the lessons. Here are some of the topics of what I can propose in the curriculum: General conversations: Restaurants Hotels Politics Travel Business Conversations: General Business Phrases (e.g Bring to the table) Meetings Telephone Banking Law Finance Accounting... etc Interviews Technical Vocabulary /Conversation ( Vocabulary associated with your specific field of activity) Pronunciation/Accent Training: Long and short vowels Names and places Word Stress Typical sentences that you could or will use. I shall also be proposing some online quizzes and exercises to complement the lessons. In some cases I will insist on them being done. I guarantee results in a short period but you will have to work hard. Concerning the 1hr duration from my experience, I found that it is more productive to do 2*30 minute lessons a weeks rather than one 1hr lesson. As trainees tend to get bored after 40 minutes and they end up doing the speaking. For cancellations I will need 12 hours notice or the lessons will be counted. It is the standard procedure for all training companies. I am very flexible in terms of planning I am usually online from 2am EST to 3pm EST. I can also propose weekly scheduling or a fixed schedule every week. I would prefer the time that you are the most productive. Please feel free to go over my resume and my portfolio.
