Create an ebook on split testing adsense

Objective in a nutshell: To create an ebook that teaches self-hosted Wordpress users how to install Open X, contextual advertising analysis tools and Adsense Deluxe and use it to split test their contextual ad programs To create this report by actually installing Open X on my self-hosted wordpress blog and split test Google adsense and other contextual ad programs over time to find the best performing contextual ads and the best mix of ad elements that works on my blog. ## Deliverables Objective in a nutshell: To create an ebook that teaches self-hosted Wordpress users how to install Open X, contextual advertising analysis tools and Adsense Deluxe and use it to split test their contextual ad programs To create this report by actually installing Open X on my self-hosted wordpress blog and split test Google adsense and other contextual ad programs over time to find the best performing contextual ads and the best mix of ad elements that works on my blog. Steps Perform all the functions below and write a 20-50 page ebook (inform me if the ebook goes under or below this page count) that in plain, simple English people teaches people, step by step: a) How to install: i) Open X on their self-hosted Wordpress blog. ii) Adsense Deluxe Plugin iii) A contextual ad split test analysis tool: Some further notes: * I am unsure on which tool to use as I have no experience with these software packages. I will send to the winning bidder some recommendations I received from a friend on some contextual ad tools he uses and information on how to use them. Should any of the two analysis tools that I send be sufficient to begin split testing, then include in the report, a tutorial on how to install the preferred contextual ad program. * Should neither of them prove sufficient, then conduct an investigation and find a free contextual ad split testing tool that you feel confident installing and using and write in the report how to install it. * If you can only find paid tools, then please inform me prior to purchasing the tools. I will test the quality of the ebook out by trying to install Open X, Adsense Deluxe and the contextual advertising analysis tool on a self-hosted Wordpress blog myself. Please note: * I have no idea whatsoever how to install any of the above and so I will be able to tell you the effectiveness of the ebook for a complete rookie. * I have already installed both Open X and Adsense Deluxe Plugin on my blog and so you would probably have to install these two packages on another blog to get some experience and use as an example of how to go about the process b) Use Open X, Adsense Deluxe and the analysis tool to split test contextual advertising programs begining with Google adsense. Every 4 days we will split test in the following fashion: Out of the three advertisements that Google allows on a page at any given time, we will discard the bottom two performers and test out another two different types of ad [login to view URL] notes on this: * All ads that we will test out will go into every single page of the site i.e. we will put them into the main page template so that they show in every single page of content. Let's split test the ads on the content pages i.e. the posts,before performing specific split tests on pages such as the home page and search results. * We will determine the bottom and best peforming ads using the tools provided by Google adsense and the other contextual ad programs, and also using the advertising split test analysis tool tht I spoke about in section A. * In the ebook, we will record the results of the split test BUT will not include specifics in terms of dollar amounts, impressions, clicks etc etc. We will record the split tests using percentages i.e. Ad block A got 10% more clicks than Ad B Ad Block C got 30% more revenure than Ad B However, please send me a report with all the details of impressions, clicks etc etc every 4 days. How will we determine the Ad blocks to split test? Please perform some research into the best ad blocks to split test for wordpress blogs. The elements you should test are: link color, with or without border, background color, ad unit size and ad unit placement: so please do some research and find out the best element combinations for wordpress blogs. Include these findings in the ebook. c) Compile the results of all this activity into an e-book that is between 25 - 50 pages long. Please perform research on how to optimize the ebook for maximum sales (and send me a separate report of your findings) and use Cover Action Pro ( Ebook Cover Software | eCovers | Ebook Covers ) to design the books graphics unless you know of a better tool. Some Additonal Notes We will first split test Google Adsense and after we have found the best performing ads in adsense, proceed to test out the following contextual ad programs: * Google AdSense * Yahoo Publisher Network * Chitika * WidgetBucks Work Process Immediately we decide to begin a working relationship, send me a painstackingly detailed report of how you intend on going about accomplishing this job. The reason I ask for this is so that we can clear up any miscommunications and misunderstandings early on. As soon as you finish recording how to install any of the softwares that must be installed, Open X, Adsense Deluxe or the analysis programs please send me the report or the information you have so that I can give you feedback on it and test drive it to see if it works. Once you begin to split test the ads, send me a report every 4 days letting me know the results of the split test. At the end of 2 weeks we will see whether or not it is worth proceeding or we should simply compile the results we currently have. After all the split testing is done, compile the ebook and send it to me. I will read through it, review it and let you know. Finally send me a copy of the complete ebook and with that the job is done. Yay [:D]
