Best way to monitor employees

Looking for someone that knows the best way to monitor employees there daily tasks or how they will report there daily tasks I will pay someone right away if they can tell me the best way to monitor employees that you know things are getting done with the company. Who ever knows the best way or approach on this either by excel they right there tasks or some other way that you believe is the best way will be great we are trying to get things organized and see if people are doing there work, seems things are not getting done fast enough. So if you believe you have the best method to monitor employees and how employees are writing what they have done what program or files are they using to report things would be great to let me know thanks
