For the images of your Wife's parents, I was thinking that I could use the "Ken Burns Effect" to animate the pictures, helping them feel more like slow motion videos than still images. (If you google ken burns effect, keep in mind that I would use it subtly.) If there is anything else you have in mind, I will be able to create and composite any effects, text, or graphics you like.
