Street-crossing system based on Virtual Reality (VR)

1. The solution is a Virtual Reality one where the software that need to be developed should support the industry standard VR hardware (mainly the glasses).

2. The application should be a "professional-level one i.e. higher than a "game level" one

3. This solution will be used in a "traffic learning labs" in the schools. It will be used for:

1. "assessing the attitudes" of the street crossing of the children

2. Providing training to the children on the same

3. Testing them to make sure that their awareness has been raised as a result of the training...

4. The software should handle 3D model of different areas of the city (this will be provided by me (the format required by the developer should be advised....)

5. The development will go through two stages:

1. Developing a prototype

2. Developing the full version

6. The developer should incorporate various traffic situations that will be used for assessment, training and testing. This will involve different levels of sophistication (such as no. of cars "traffic density" coming from both directions, the speed of the cars, the restricted sight distance...e.g. at curves......etc.

7. Unless otherwise is advised by the developer, I'm thinking of a dual-monitor station that has two screens back to back where the child and the instructor will be in the same "crossing situation" together with the ability -for the instructor- to "sense" the actions/ movements of the child.

8. The software should run in sessions where the name and data of the child will be entered before the session then the results of the session (one to three attempts) will be recorded and then printed.

I'll be interested in knowing the following:

1. Time availability of the candidate (i.e. working hours in GMT)

2. The deliverables -as understood by the candidate

3. The required time frame

4. A lump sum estimate to develop the prototype....

5. The required 3D model format for the street/ city

6. The payment terms

7. Other concerns of the developer if there will be any
