I have a set of about 100 word documents that together are a Health and Safety Set of Policies and Procedures. They would be easier to manage and sell if I could organize them. It would great if I could store these in an access database in such a way that the user could insert their company logo in a field, their company address in another table field, and when they opened the word attachment in the record it would create that policy with their company info. I imagine it opening in either a Word Doc or PDF. But I would like the user to be able to change the contents of the policy. Maybe each Policy Document is a template, and the user can change the template. And when they go to print it from Access somehow, their company name is in all the right places?
There are different categories of documents, Policies, Procedures, Training Forms, etc. Each document has a number, and a revision, and a last revision date. Also who approved it, etc. This sort of info can be stored in the database and used to populate the document when the user goes to print.
Is this something you can do in Access for me? I don't have a very high budget for this, but if you have worked with templates and access quite a bit, and you are very familiar with these things, this may be a quick n' easy project for you!

I propose a Document Management System that uses either a Ms Access Database or SQL Server Database to store the documents. I further propose that the system be fronted by a program written in Visual Basic 2010 that will be the principal tool that users interact with.
