Customise Wordpress theme (simple job)

The website is still being built and at the moment just has a wordpress installation and the theme "NewLife" (from the wordpress themes section). The theme is almost what we need it just needs a few changes to make it work how we need it, not hard i just don't have time to do it.
Here is a list of what needs to be done. (if you think it would be easier to use another template to achieve the results we can discuss that).
- Left Column move to be the right column, add in new left column about half the width of the right column, i want to be able to put images in the left column for the most part.
- Remove the 'slider'
- Add area above the navigation bar to have a header image (about the same size as the slider) (this would be in the grey area)
- Remove grey area
- Navigation bar, at the moment it's only when you hover over that you get the tab sorta thing, i want that to be there all the time, when you hover over it the text should change to black or something, and when your on a particular page you should be able to tell.
- Remove search from left column (which will become the right column)
- Need to work out where to put the search function
There might be one or two extra little things, like need to work out where to put the search, but this will be looked at once the rest is done. The idea is to have a nice clean looking site all up, so please factor this into your bids.
