This will be a golf game for the Mac OS (x), which will be audio based. Meaning, the keyboard keys will be used to interact, and audio files will be used to present ambiance, feedback, and scoring. This is designed for visually impaired or blind users, hence the audio based interface. Also, we will utilize the Voiceover utility text-to-speech utility found in OS X (Command + F5) to provide feedback. THis is how basic gameplay will work... 1. A course will be selected, and the first hole will be shown. Its distance in yardage will be spoken. 2. The user must select a club, wood or iron, and from numbers 1-9, according to strength. A pitching wedge will also be available for shorter distances. 3. The space key will be pressed once to begin a launcher for the golf ball. Depending on how far the user wishes to launch the ball, he will press the space bar again after a given time. The longer the user waits to press the space key a second time, the further the ball will travel. This will vary according to the chosen club/iron. 4. The user will be informed as to how far the ball traveled, and the remaining strokes to the green, ETC. This will continue until the current hole is completed, on through hole 18. 5. The user's stats and name will be saved for future comparison and scorekeeping. Note: I will provide audio files; including a golf swing sound, audience applause, necessary beeps, ETC, as needed. More details can be discussed with the coder. THank you.
