I need to save on my computer around 10000 QuickTime mov videos from a server.
I have made 2 text files with line break separated values of a list, one is for the URLs the other is for the titles:
Sample input:
-------------
--------------
Profils et mod?les (05:35)
Exportation au format Photoshop (02:06)
Conversion Microsoft Office (00:26)
---------------
These videos need to be streamed to QT, they won't load if accessed directly from a browser or downloader.
I can manually open each in QT then save it with the correspond title, but it takes about 45 minutes for 100 files.
Your job is be to make a tool that drastically speeds up the process using AppleScript and both lists to download and save the videos with the corresponding titles new folders The video duration and any extra character will have to be removed. Files need to be numbered accordingly to the number in the URLs.
Sample output:
---------------
13/1 Profils et mod?[login to view URL]
13/2 Exportation au format [login to view URL]
13/3 Conversion Microsoft [login to view URL]
14/1 Cr?er une animation [login to view URL]
----------------
Some files have a public access, others need a token (e.g. U9638954 given by logging in) that expires after a few minutes.
The tool can be programmed in any language but must run on Mac OS X 10.6 and 10.7.
I recommend AppleScript for its QuickTime 7 dictionary.
N.B. the URLs in the sample are fake, I'll give you working ones in private.
