I was a manager and technical lead of the domain migration project of my previous company in order to migrate whole domain to the newer one with new domain name. The migration was successfully implemented on more than 2000 users, computers and mailboxes plus dozens of apps at 3 sites without affects and interruptions to users' productivity. First of all I guess you tough Windows Server 2012R2 not 2013R2. Its an easy task and I can probably finish in 1 day, but I said 2 if something comes up. Just few questions. - Server 2008r2 has basic installation of OS. no additional software on it at the moment? - Both servers are in same network and location or different, this is not a problem just for calculating the time for replication? - From info you gave I understand that server 2012r2 is going to be demoted or maybe its gonna stay as secondary DC?
