In our system we often will get order with many items and we will ship everything we have in stock, many times leaving some items backordered. Then when the customer gets the order, they end up calling us to see what is backordered. Then we have to go to the shipping department and look at the printed document. This is very time-consuming. We need to be able to mark items that were shipped (Checkbox next to each) and mark (Backordered) and maybe have a note that we can ender when backordered is selected. This would need to be visible from the customer's access so they can see what is backordered and read the note without having to call us. This will also help us manage this internally as we have remote employees.
