Automate Daily File Management and Update for Shopify CSV
Project Description:
We require an automation solution to streamline our daily operations related to our Shopify store's inventory. The task involves interacting with FileZilla, processing CSV files, and updating our Shopify inventory accordingly.
Detailed Requirements:
File Retrieval:
Automatically download a CSV file once a day from FileZilla. This CSV is provided by our supplier and contains item information.
CSV Processing:
Use the newly downloaded CSV in tandem with our master file (which represents the active articles on our website) to make the following adjustments:
2.1 Existing Articles: For articles that already exist in our master file, update their stock and price based on the new CSV.
2.2 New Articles: If an article from the new CSV doesn't exist in our master file, add it with all the necessary information.
2.3 Inactive Articles: If an article from our master file isn't found in the new CSV, mark it as inactive.
File Upload:
After processing, upload the new CSV to Shopify.
This automated process need to be run on daily basis. If other 3rd party software are required, we are open to consider it but free solutions are preference.
Key Skills Required:
Familiarity with FileZilla and its API or relevant functions
Strong understanding of CSV file manipulation
Experience with Shopify (especially its CSV format and inventory management)
