I develop hard- and software for AC-like systems and have a properly working (SODAQ SFF 4G-LTE) board with 256K separate additional non-volatile memory on the side. I am now finishing the sketch but need OTA after deployment of multiple units, which I find too complex. I need someone who is able to implement a stable method including the server part to facilitate the over-the-air updates functionality; i.e. if the device receives a MQTT message telling it to update firmware it will: 1) Request the .bin firmware (Arduino IDE) from the remote server URL, 2) Download it and write it to the non-volatile memory (256K), set an install_firmware_update flag to true, reboot, update firmware, etc. etc.

Hi. I did such project with ota before.I have also sam21 board. I have many experiences for raspberry pi/Arduino and C/Python and have also raspberry pi/Arduino board I have the solid experience in embedded development and PCB using Allegro, Altium and Eagle for 10+ years. For example, STB, DVB-T2 modulator, Microwave Transceiver, GPS tracking system, UHF Data transceiver etc. I have the custom embedded development boards such as Raspberry pi&Arduino ,PIC, ATMEGA,STM32,FPAG,RK3128 and so on. I will host a Linux server with the bin file and host an MQTT broker. It will subscribe to a ota topic and check for the update version and automatically fetch the file and perform a self update on a go command. I been working as an IOT Embedded Developer for quite a while now. Would love to hear back!
