1) What is that one thing about you that is unique and useful for your career?
I love writing more than anything else. Passion. I derive physical pleasure from doing it right. When a book flies away to a client, a piece of myself flies along.
2) How do you spend your time when there is no work left for you?
When I'm not writing, I read and pursue academic studies. When that is done, I walk (10 km/day). After that, I analyze the world around me. Dogs & family.
3) Do you think a single project can change your life?
It certainly can. And it has. Dramatically.
I used to be CEO of a direct sales cosmetic brand - in the 1990's. We manufactured knock-off brand perfumes (Givaudan) which we bottled and a skincare range (those days amongst others Haarmann & Reimer and Croda) which we contract-packed. Also hair care etc. That was long ago. I used to be quite the expert on fragrances, many moons ago.
But I digress. I can write about anything in the world, and I do. Completed 12000 words on diets today, did a book on brain injuries 2 weeks ago, doing a biography now, and completed a book on the IRS & tax compliance in the US a month ago, etc. etc.
I am slightly concerned with the two weeks thing. I can do a book like this in a much shorter time if required, but I have to schedule it as not to disappoint my regular "benefactors." I can easily do it within two weeks, or a bit less, if we can schedule the start date. Looking forward to chatting. Thanks for inviting me to bid
