Ruby GEM for FDTI D2XX driver

The project requires that a Ruby GEM is created wrapping the FDTI D2XX driver. See [login to view URL] The wrapping is to be done with SWIG ([login to view URL]) unless a good case can be made against this. All functions within the driver API ([login to view URL]'s_Guide(FT_000071).pdf) need to be implemented.

The GEM is required to be able to be used under Windows, Linux and Mac OSX.

Ruby target 1.9.2.

Deliverables:

1. complete source tree tarball for the GEM.

2. documentation describing the Ruby use of each of the functions listed in the API document where this is not obvious.

3. documentation/test suite demonstrating the correct operation of the driver wrapper. (Recommendations sought).
