OQ Trainer/Evaluator
The OQ Trainer/Evaluator is responsible for working with field crews in on-the-job training, effectively evaluating employee task knowledge, effectively communicating proper techniques, and leading group training.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintains the DOT Operator Qualification program for employees on different client sites.
• Conducts company and contractor OQ assessments, as needed, to ensure employees are properly qualified and meet all DOT qualification requirements.
• Determines initial training requirements for each employee and contractor personnel and ensures that all training is completed satisfactorily in pursuit of new employee development.
• Maintains process operator refresher training schedules and administers refresher training.
• Develops and delivers training to support needs analysis.
• Maintains all training documentation, including initial and refresher training records, outlines of training, training schedules, etc.
• Participates as needed, in assimilating new assets into Corporate Training systems.
• Coordinates and cultivates inter-department support/interaction as needed.
• Promotes and champions corporate training systems and services.
• Evaluates and maintains inspection and testing reports for multiple disciplines including mechanical, Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
• Mechanical ability.
• Develops project specific QA/QC documentation and control procedures.
• Audits field QA/QC documentation for accuracy
• Trains field employees on proper QA/QC documentation
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of training, safety, or operations experience.
• MEA, NCCER, Veriforce Evaluator, and/or Trainer Certifications required. NACE Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT Operator Qualification Rules and its application to the industry.
• Experience in developing technical documentation and/or training materials related to Operators and Maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating and communicating information across company and department lines.
• Ability and comfort conducting small group training sessions.
• Ability to organize and prioritize daily work, focus on details, follow policies/procedures, and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills required.
• Experienced in the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) databases, and other computer software systems.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Remote field work environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 30% of the time. There are generally no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Must be willing to travel to different job sites.
