Dear Employer, I can certainly look into this for you. The complexity of the data extraction depends on the application and the way it saves data. Based on your short description I suspect the application is a standalone desktop program. In this case I would browse into the back end of it and determine where and in which format the data is being stored. Standard data store formats would probably give us a faster solution. Parsing custom data store formats usually takes some time. A different approach would be required if the application you have is a client-server or cloud based solution.
