In addition to placing desired data in its own sheet we will need to copy specific columns of data from several sheets and combine into its own sheets.
Info as to what sheet the data came from and also the "name" of the column will need to be in the TOP CELL for that column so that it will make it easier to identify the data.
For example the columns from (PM) report for CASH IN/CASH OUT will carry the column label of PM DATE, PM EMP, PM VALUE, PM Remarks etc etc,.. This would also apply to (CM) and QuickBook (QB).
The sheets that will be used to merge the data from various sheets will use the DATE as a common process to link the info from each column together. A MASTER DATE will be placed in the far left column starting with the earliest transaction from all the prospective columns. For instance starting with 05-01-2006 on the left MASTER DATE and all the other data sets that have transactions on that DATA will start at the same ROW and continue down rows until the column with the most 05-01-2006 ends,..
This will apply to all transactions within that same date so that I can look at each day in history and see how cash transactions moved from one software input to the other to validate that entries were being made from one software to another equally to make sure that theres not missing or incomplete entries.
Not sure if its possible but would like to be able to have a graphical link between matching CELLS that show that one entry led to another in a approved transaction. If not able then I could use some color coding entered manually to show GREEN or RED to signify found or missing transactions.
In a nut shell this is the majority of what I need to be able to do. Maybe theres a way to automatically sort the various columns of data to align them so that they all have matching dates in the correct order. More explanation on that later.
There is one major file that will take some extra work. Its the bank statement. I need some additional work done on that file and that would be to pull images from the scanned checks and have the ability to search the checks. Some checks now do not show up when I do a search using Adobe ACROBAT. I think its the quality of the scan and maybe it can be indexed properly so that I can use the ADOBE search feature. Like possibly embed a index in the file to make searching 100%.
