Hi there! I got you! You probably may resolve the issue just by opening it in google docs online and then download it by selecting the version you want(2016). I have figured out the matter this way, on other hand this also sold have done simply by opening and "save as" workbook extended version. I would like to discuss this over chat. lets share files with me. Will send you back in 2016 format. Hope so i can do it. Let try use to do it normly its work fine on updated version may there is some issues in file. can you not just change the file type to .xlsx? on your 97-2003 worksheet? the way lazy people would change a notepad file to html? If that doesn't work can you just send me a copy of your file? I'll open it, change the type, save it and confirm it works in 2016 and send it back to you. Also, you dont have any addons enabled in your 2016 that might be causing issues right? ive had to toggle developer mode and solver off randomly to fix issues. I'm sure I can square you away with a bit more info haha
