Hi there,
I have a one-time task that I need completed to automate the process of pulling a few fields into a spreadsheet from a specific URL.
The URL has a specific set of resources with clear conventions:
Example: [login to view URL]
I need to script the process of retrieving data from a page after replacing the object name with the one entered in the URL syntax. I would manually enter an object name in a cell on the spreadsheet and I would need VBA configured to change the URL and grab the value from the page and insert it.
Example: [login to view URL]$age
Where I have typed the name of a person in the spreadsheet it should query the URL and populate the age of each name entered.
The examples used are generic as the actual site and data collected are private and proprietary information. You may need to sign a 1-page NDA stating that you will not share any of the data organized or collected with a 3rd party.
The data from the URL is updated frequently so I need values to refresh each time the spreadsheet is open or when a new object is typed in a specific field.
