The goal of this project is to create a software application with an interface, that will provide insights into how well a set of indicators on TradingView are performing across cryptocurrency, forex, and other trading pairs and across multiple timeframes.
Trading view allows for users to add indicators to trading charts that will tell them a good time to buy, sell or other indications of trading trends or happenings. We are working with indicator developers to provide a tool that will tell them how well their indicators will do across multiple cryptocurrency exchanges, coin pairs, and timeframes.
Our goal is to be able to have the application scan all coins on an exchange, a set of coins, or even just one pair of coins to know when the indicator fired in the past(parameter set by user - number of indicators or specific date or timeframe back), the price at the time of firing a buy or a sell signal, and calculate the profit percentage for that timeframe and coin pair and then provide an interface to review all of the trades.
Initially, due to limitations in the TradingView APi/Development tool called Pine, we may have to scrape some of the information and integrate it with the currencies Api in order to get pricing and volume information at the time of the indicator firing on TradingView.
This scraper will be pulling price, date, time, coin pair, and calculating profit across multiple timeframes for every coin on a given exchange.
The purpose of this scraper is to determine the highest percentage returns based on coin pair, exchange, and timeframe using indicators. The indicators will need to be loaded into the chart and with settings we determine for each. Then it needs to run in the background preferably and calculate profits from the moment the indicator fired long until it fires short. We will also want to determine the reverse numbers for Short to Long indicator firing.
We may also want to add the variable of settings for the indicator as well as when to count the indicator. Sometimes an indicator may fire and then disappear because values for the indicator changed.
The data collected needs to be put into a spreadsheet or other reporting format within the interface of the application to be created by coin pair, timeframe, percentage gains average and median across all coins. It also needs to compare averages and median profits and losses across timeframes per coin.
We will specify as well volume requirements.
This tool should then calculate profits and recommend the best combinations of pairs and timeframes for the indicator.
We will want to have multiple users for the tool eventually, but for now for our own testing, we do not need it.
Please make sure you have watched the video and read the description before you post a bid. This may seem like a canned scraping project, but it is actually fairly complex and could be difficult, including pulling in outside pricing data and being able to know from scraping or otherwise when the indicators fire.
