Use VBSCRIPT as the programming language in a .vbs file to extract various details of a complete directory of dozens of Excel .xlsx files each with multiple Worksheet Tabs in every Excel file each containing multiple Column Name Headers into a single CSV file with a single row for each of the unique Excel .xlsx Worksheet Tabs in the Workbook and all the Column Names contained in that Worksheet Tab formatted as follows for each row:
ExcelWorkBookFileName, ExcelFileDate,ExcelTab1Name,ColumnName1,ColumnName2,ColumnName3, ColumnName4,ColumnName5,..... Columname999
where there could be as many as 175 Column Names in a WorkSheet Tab.
Then for the 2nd Worksheet Tab and all the other Worksheet Tabs (with up to 20 Tabs in a single WorkBook) repeat the same information in the 2nd row of the output CSV File named using the core ExcelWorkBookFileName plus a DateTimeStamp like 20180930_1115am with a .CSV file extension written into the directory where the .vbs is being executed which will be on a local laptop. The remote directory containing all the .xlsx files could be as long as 50 characters which will be hard coded into the .vbs script or passed in as a parameter: For instance: J:\Kerwin\CDCData\RawData\Sep2018\ExcelFiles
ExcelWorkBookFileName, ExcelFileDate,ExcelTab2Name,ColumnName1,ColumnName2,ColumnName3, ColumnName4,ColumnName5,..... Columname999
ExcelWorkBookFileName, ExcelFileDate,ExcelTab3Name,ColumnName1,ColumnName2,ColumnName3, ColumnName4,ColumnName5,..... Columname999 and so on until between 10 and 20 Tabs have been processed.
