Here’s the jist of it: Robinhood, for example, has done a great job of connecting users/investors with the ease of access and modernization of technology. However, I’m envisioning a platform that creates somewhat of a social media network for investing. Imagine friends, family, well-known investors, etc. that have accounts to show their portfolios, investing distribution, and comments on trends in the market. A feed would consist of new investments from those you follow, and even allow users to combine assets with friends or connections to invest as a group/fund in a specific niche or larger stock/bond/ETF/mutual fund portfolio.
Creating a platform that would allow for trading in-house would require SEC approval, which is something that we could work towards, but in the mean time, the idea can work simply as a platform that connects with other trading platforms to bring together accounts/feeds/etc.
Looking for a part-time developer to create the app or a co-founder, if interested. This is a very rough introduction to the idea, but I’d love to discuss more.
