Who We Are:
We are an ambitious NFT collective, committed to telling stories of science and digital art. We currently produce a wide variety of digital content for collectors. Our newest venture involves the transition of our project from a collectible NFT series to Blockchain gaming within the TCG (Trading Card Game) genre. To that end, we are seeking an experienced game designer who is passionate about, and educated in, this emerging space to help us build something truly unique. This is a contracted position with the possibility of staying on for future projects.
Responsibilities:
Transform a rough idea into a detailed concept and then implement it
Assess how the gameplay and the story development will affect each other and work them together cohesively
Work collaboratively with others, including game developer, artists and programmer, to produce a prototype - a small-scale playable version of the game
Make adjustments to the game design specifications to reflect developments as the project moves forward
Lead and constantly look to develop the user experience (UX) design of the game, ensuring players have the best experience
Write storyline, character bios, dialogue, plot points, game objective
Lead the development process
Generate the Game Design Document (GDD)
Other various tasks that apply to story writing, narrative, etc.
Qualifications & Skills:
3+ years of experience in Game Design or relevant experience
Ability to write efficiently in English
Ability to work independently and remotely
Knowledge in Unity 3D and Unreal Engines
Ability to manage a small team
Technical knowledge in Trading Card Games - understanding the game mechanics and game balance
Programming skills
Creativity - designing the world of the game, characters, storyline, visual style
