I run a forum called the East Dulwich Forum which runs on Phorum, PHP/MySQL software which is excellent for high traffic forums however the templates on it are old. I am going to move the site to a newer version of the forum which uses a different templating system and so now is a good time to make the site responsive.
I have a test area of the new version of the site for development however I need the templates changed to be responsive so that the forum is more easily read on mobile.
I guess there are two main ways to do this, either someone convert what is currently there to be responsive and I 'plug-in' the templating system so that it works or someone does both. The former is easier for someone building that as the latter requires more work and an understanding of the templating system (which is actually fairly simple [login to view URL]). I've a very basic understanding of the templating system so if someone is good with that sort of thing it would help.
I tried out having the site converted to another forum platform PHPBB which is responsive but I'm not keen on that platform as the conversion has implications which I'm not keen on so that idea has been scrapped.
I'm look for someone to help me out with the layout design for this but I'm not looking for a re-design. For example how could the advertisers banners 120 x 120 be shown on mobile when currently they appear on the right hand side.
Other points
Two break points, first a fluid for desktop and tablet and second for mobile.
There's no deadline.
I want to make the templates available to the Phorum community to use afterwards for free. Let me know if that's a problem, you can of course credit yourself in the files.

The current live website is www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk which runs on an old version of Phorum.
The test/dev area contains the forum on a newer version of Phorum 5.2.23 which uses a new templating system, so if has a default template on top of it.
I'm looking for someone to take the .tpl files and convert them so that the page renders to be responsive. The desktop version will look like (or similar to) the current site www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk but there are no designs for mobile layout.
A previous abandoned effort can be seen here http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/testforum but please note this is not the new design but can show you want sort of thing I'm after.
The base templates where you can see how the code works can be seen in the templates folder in the attached zip file (also located here http://www.phorum.org/downloads/phorum-5.2.23.zip ). I think starting with the lightweight templates would be easier.
