I need some changes to an existing website. We have changed our website from classic asp on an old eukhost server, to a new Magento site on a Nimbus hosting server.
The new Magento site is on a test domain, and we want to change the domain on the new Magento site to the live domain.
Before we go live, we have 9000 old pages which we want to 301 permanent redirect via the htaccess file so the links don't break.
We have compiled the 9000 old URLs and their new paths on an excel spreadsheet.
1. So we need the 9000 old and new links to be written into a htaccess file and uploaded to the new server.
2. The htaccess files must be checked before we change the domain to the live address.
3. We then need you to change the domain and nameservers to point to the new Magento server so it works immediately.
4. You must also advise me on what to tell Google webmaster tools regarding the redirect.
Only apply if you have full experience. I have done all the links on excel so most of the work is done.
