We're looking for a front-end developer for BigCommerce sites. We generally hire developers as freelance to start and it can lead to a more permanent position over time if it is a good fit. You must be willing to work within our timezone on projects. You must be willing to use our communication methods: Slack and Monday As a front-end developer, you will work to build responsive websites and support existing ones. You’ll work with our project manager to execute new site builds, provide support and communication for existing clients, and most importantly, code stuff. Responsibilities * Build new sites from PSD mockups on a variety of platforms * Make changes as needed on existing sites * Respond to client support tickets * Always be learning * Communicate within team * Communicate with clients * Solve problems * Record screencasts for functionality walkthroughs as needed Skills Needed * HTML / CSS * Handlebars * Custom Javascript is a plus * Responsive * Ability to learn * BigCommerce Experience * AT LEAST 1 year coding front end * Experience coding from PSDs * BigCommerce platform * API is a plus Summary In general, this position is about developing sites, but also solving problems. You’ll get to code a lot of projects. We want someone who loves learning, strives to continuously improve, and is always looking for opportunities to improve our systems and offering.
