barcode scanner linking to video games website

we have an established video games website that we want to be able to allow consumers to query from their mobiles whilst instore and scanning a barcode They will recieve back information on that product, screen shots, video etc. In addition, we want to be able to price check, serve up barcode that they can scan at tills as well as using the scanner to add to their game collection in the app. We have already built a api that can be queried by xml to receive back the information, top tens charts etc.
