I have a product that is retail ready. My background is not retail or sales, my background is technology and financial services, so obviously I need help. I have just this week started selling on eBay Australia and I know if I continue to support this sales channel I will die old and poor. Additionally I am looking at selling into Amazon US marketplace, purely to hit a bigger target demographic. I believe in my product. Yes it’s first world, but I believe there is demand for it, I just need to get my product to my target audience, and I don’t know how to do it. I am small potatoes at the moment, but I believe there is a market for my product, and I believe the are many more niche product lines/spin offs, that can follow of the back of me getting a ROI on my initial investment of $20k. hi sean. hope you are fine and in good health. yes ebay is a good market place to kick start with but amazon is a giant and i see that you are planning to going towards it. well there are two kinds of approaches either we check the market trends, dig out new products and finally on the base of our experience and modern AI tools find a winning product for us or you can say golden nugget. on the other hand we can go with your already in hand product, which by the way is a good product and with proper marketing on different forums could be a fast selling product. but for that YOU have to undergo a deep product analysis. which will find the demand of your products. Failed Product Alert Dear Recruiter after reading your project details and picture shared by you, I have checked the feasibility of your project and found that if you go with this project then you are going to lose all your money. I am not saying it only I am going to prove it on the following reasons; 1) Main keyword of your product on amazon is " pre poop toilet spray" 2) Its average price on Amazon is 15.68. 3) Average monthly sales is 10,586 on this keyword which may be increased by using other keywords, but average monthly sales in not the issue. Main Problems to the product are as follows... 1) The product is Brand dominant. ( Air wick and poo-pourri are sittig in top 8 places out of 10, which means in order to sell your product at a reasonable pace you have to compete with these brands which is not possible with this lower budget). 2) Amazon has got the BuyBox of top five listings, which means that amazon itself is selling the same product which means " YOU WANT TO COMPETE AMAZON ON ITS OWN WEBSITE" There fore after detailed analysis of your product I would recommend to change the product or the market. For that you may opt for amazon ausi, uk , uae , in etc for which I market research can be made before launching. If you want to can change the product then you can hire a product hunter to hunt the product for you and you may source the product form china with upto 40% profit. If you insist on working the same product then it would take 20 days.
