Write an iPad application-Retail Staff Task Management

We currently use a manual task list for a retail store associate to complete during their work shift as side work. This includes 5 categories of tasks and repeats itself on a monthly cycle. We currently print and bind a new "book" every month and associates check off with manager confirmation.

The tasks are all defined in a Excel SS, and assigned to specific days. For example, we always do inventory of a particular category of product on the first Monday of the month and we always do a check of all light bulbs on the fourth Weds. of the month. This always remains the same.

Rather than a manual paper-based checklist, we want to move this to a store iPad where:

1. a particular person is assigned a role, for example Morning Shift Associate #1,

2. they confirm task completion on the iPad and confirmations are time stamped

3. confirmations are promoted for manager confirmation

4. Tasks would be prioritized so the sequence presented for completion is managed

5. Some tasks would have a complete by X time requirement-i.e. turn on "open" sign

6. Some tasks have a start no earlier than time-i.e. garbage out 30 minutes before close

7. Dashboard on the screen would show associate status of progress during shift

8. Dashboard would show MTD and YTD progress as well.

9. Backend can be a simple spreadsheet or basic open source DB

10. Manager confirm of task would be for complete(timestamp) and quality level

11. A daily summary screen would allow manager to enter 10-12 data value on weather, visit count, sales, etc.

12. A basic reporting capability would provide employee self-feedback

13. Manager summary of all associates and performance

14. Review of performance by day/shift, to ID whether tasks were consistently not completed so we can understand whether employee or load of work issue
