OS: Linux
Programming language: prefer C/C++, java and python also are ok.
Delivery: 4 days
Project description:
A program keeps monitoring packet received on a specified port. Once receiving a packet, compress the payload of the packet by applying rule-length encoding algorithm, lz4, or gzip algorithms to gain a good compression ratio (compressed_packet_size/original_packet_size). I know the compression ratio varies from the nature of the content of the packets. We can discuss which algorithm will be implemented and what kind of files to be sent.
Then the program sent the compressed packets to the incoming port. Please keep mind that we cannot change the original src/dst mac or ip address of the packets.
I attach a topology below to demonstrate what I want.
Hi, Dear Employer!
How are you?
I am really interested in your project.
I have enough experience on python, C/C++, C#, java programming.
I am going to use the PCAP lib for dump packet.
I am 100% sure i can satisfy your requirements perfectly.
User-Friendly Interface And Clear Algorithm Will Encourage Your Project.
I want a long term relationship with you.
Thank you and best regards!
Greeting,
I have understood your Compress payload of Ethernet packets task and can do it with your 100% satisfaction. Please ping me for more discussion.
I have more than 5 years of experience in C Programming, C++ Programming, CUDA, Java, Linux
Hello, how are you? I hope you have a bright day/evening from your side. I have read the details provided, but please contact me so that we can discuss more on the project. I believe I have the required skills in this case. I will work on your requirements personally since I do not outsource to third parties, this guarantees you high-quality work that is delivered on time. You can also request for revisions till you’re fully satisfied with the work. I believe research is a passion and not a money making business where people will deliver low-quality work just to get paid. Try my services, and you will never regret. Waiting for your kind response
The simplest way is to use iptables to redirect the traffic to our application which listens on a specific port. Then apply either lz4 or gzip compression on the incoming packets, and then finally forward compressed to the final destination.
