Counter of people using neural network on raspberry pi 3

I have been working as data scientist for more than 4 years during which i implemented numerous machine learning algorithms. I already worked on similar project where we have installed camera in entrance of store & result required was people in & out counting. Two main ideas which has been implemented during this project was 1. object detection 2. Tracking objects Finally number of in & out going people has been provided.

I am well familiarized with A.I frameworks like keras (tensor flow). I did my college dissertation in the field of computer vision specifically vehicle and pedestrian tracking using a non-stationary camera. I am even currently working on a portfolio management agent that uses reinforcement learning. I own a raspberry pi, so i understand the intricacies that come with the board and testing on the actual board will not be an issue. I am prepared to take this project on with passion and commitment.
