I created a script for my Apple computer . Then converted that script to a very basic app. But I want it to take a step further to create a commercial app.
This is what my script / app does:
The Mac computer is waked up from sleep by either Energy saver settings or Calendar at a set time , then the script opens terminal and lets terminal execute about 8 short command lines , then the computer is put to sleep by the script or Energy saver.
During the process the script issues short warnings about the next action with a countdown of 30 seconds , allowing the user to intercept the sequence.
What I want:
A Menu bar app that is password protected to install. As hacker proof as possible. So I can sell it online from the Apple Store.
It must work on as many as possible Apple OSX versions
It should bypass the requirement to have the app open Terminal first to issue the command lines, it should execute those commands directly.
It should bypass the need for using Calendar as the scheduler but instead set the time , date , day , repeat etc. directly in the small user interface.
The user interface from the menu bar will have these selections:
Select required action (dictated by a single command line code) from a dropdown,
Select time of day to execute,
Select repeat sequence : every day , every other day , once a week , a limited number of days / weeks etc.
I want to be able to make small future modifications in the app myself , like a new command line to be executed. A new interface colour etc.
