1.3. Summary The proposed Urgent Care mobile app is intended to streamline and automate the following functions: • Maintain a list of tree architecture of questions to be answered by a patient requesting assistance. • Manage patient GPS location coordinates. • Maintain patient demographic information. • Maintain patient medical information. • Manage Invoices. • Manage Receipts. • Manage Switchboard for incoming request • Reports The system will be an enterprise wide system to be accessed by all parties required for the various inputs. All data inputted will be housed centrally and internally on one central server. Great emphasis will be placed on the user friendliness of the system while at the same time ensuring all tasks performed are simple and precise. 1.4. Maintain a list of tree architecture of questions to be answered by a patient requesting assistance. The application will have an interface to manage the questions being presented to the patient requesting assistance. The questions will be in the form of a dynamic tree maintained by the user and not hard coded into the app. For example Question 1 has two potential answers A and B. Answers A and B will then branch off into their own questions if selected by the user. This tree structure can be built to hold as many questions and answers as needed. 1.5. Manage patient GPS location coordinates. The application will be able to automatically pull the patients GPS coordinates once the location option on the mobile app is turned on. If the location option is not turned on then the patient will be required to enter the location manually. 1.6. Maintain patient demographic information. The application will request demographic from the patient o National ID number o Date of Birth o Gender o Race o Email address o Contact details o Insurance details o Secondary contacts o Any other general information 1.7. Manage patient medical information The application will store a history of notes made by the doctors on each patient visit for reference purposes in read only format. The notes will be stored by visit and doctor. 1.8. Manage Invoices. The application will contain a module that can only be accessed by the doctors which will allow them to create invoices for services rendered. prepared. The invoice created can then be emailed to the client in a PDF format. Invoices created for a patient can be accessed by the patient via the mobile application in the invoice history section. 1.9. Manage Receipts. Once payments are made for the service performed the doctor will be able to generate a receipt for the service and email a copy to the patient in a PDF format. This receipt can also be accessed by the patient via their mobile app a payment history section. 1.10. Manage Switchboard for incoming request The switchboard will be in the format of a web application. The proposed workflow is as follows. • A request is made via a mobile app • The request will appear on the switchboard as a work item in a queue. • The medical personnel managing the switchboard will be able to assign the work item to an available doctor • The work item will carry a status of pending until the visit is completed by doctor. • Once the visit is completed the status of the work item will change from pending to completed and move to a historical work item queue. • Work items can also be cancelled if the service is no longer needed. • Cancelled items will be stored in historical cancelled queue. 1.11. Provide secure access to the application 1.11.1. Manage System Users The system will have a user management module. A user profile will be created for each user that will determine the access rights that user can have in the system. Each user will be required to log in with a user name and password. 1.11.2.
