“Next Departure” app for Apple Watch
Short description
The app allows the user to see on a watch face how many minutes that remains to the next departure of a predetermined bus, train, tram or subway.
User story
On the iPhone
The user open the companion app “Next departure” on their iphone.
The user taps “Select station”.
The app asks the user to allow it to see his location.
The user taps OK.
A list of the ten stations closest to the user shows up.
The user taps to select a station.
The list underneath is populated with all the lines that traffic that station. One list item per line and direction.
The user selects one of the lines/directions.
The save button is activated.
The user clicks save.
On the Apple Watch
The user hard presses on the modular watch face.
The user taps Customize.
The user chooses one of the Complications.
The user scrolls the digital crown and selects “Next departure”.
The user clicks the digital crown.
The user clicks the watch face.
Now, every time the user looks at his watch, he sees how many minutes are remaining until the next departure for the line and direction he chose.
API exist with OK documentation.
