An existing AR/VR app that shows videos on virtual screens wants to port its functionality over to be functioning in China.
Currently the app works both in iOS and Android and uses Google Map api (to visually show location on a map, show StreetView 360 images as well as return data from the Location call to list surrounding address). As well, videos are streamed from a popular video streaming service onto a virtual screen in AR or VR, VR being a 360 image of the current geographic location. Both the current map and video streaming service will not operate within China so we would like to port our functionality over to services that are available within China.
Built within the Unity3D framework, we need to integrate Baidu Maps as well as Baidu Total View api to report back to the app its location, local addresses as well as available 360 images. The app also needs to be able to record a video and automatically post it to our account on a video streaming service that works in China (such as Youku). Our database will record the ID of the video and catalogue it for later viewing. Thumbnails of the videos need to be accessible directly from the streaming service as well as a virtual screen that works within Unity to access and stream the videos onto the floating virtual screen.
