Hard drive on Mac was corrupted, I managed to have the email files that were on hard drive exported into a folder on a seperate hard drive before it failed completely. Unfortunately the way these were saved can not simply be reinstalled back into outlook for Mac. The emails are saved as individual messages, and saved in a random order without labels etc. There are approx. 28,000 individual messages, totalling about 8 GB.
I do not need all the emails recovered but I am searching for a couple of emails in particular. I am able to open the individual email files in Microsoft Word, but with the number of individual email files to open to find just a few required emails this is not realistic exercise.
I expect there may be a program available that would be able to open all the email folders and export them to a single spread sheet where they can be then searched by a 'key word' program to identify the required emails? I have attached 3 of the email files so you will be able assess if this will be possible. As stated they are able to be opened in MS word but I expect thee will be an appropriate program that will be able to open and read these in way that is feasible.
Dear Should-Have-Gone-With-Microsoft
(Sorry, I'm a Mac hater.)
I THINK I can help you. Can you roughly estimate the amount of emails you expect to be retrieving?
I've been researching and I think I can do it. I could try, and if I fail you don't have to pay me, simple as that.
Perhaps we could inbox each other to discuss this further?
I possess a good knowledge in SQL and have been writing the queries from past 2 years in Real time scenario. This is my first freelance project. So hopefully I can get your job done.
